Queering Mental Health

18th February 2021

QUEERING MENTAL HEALTH: A Canadian Perspective is a full-day online conference centering Canadian LGBTQ2S+ voices exploring the intersections of queerness and mental health across Canada.

Queering Mental Health

Many people within the LGBTQ2S+ community face a high need for mental health support due to the impacts of discrimination, intersectionality, and other social determinants, but often encounter barriers in terms of gaps in truly affirming and competent mental health services.

This conference has been carefully curated to provide thoughtful and impactful insights into LGBTQ2S+ topics in Canada, and is ideal for mental health professionals, other helping professionals, and members of the general public who want to actively work on their allyship and work towards providing competent, accessible and affirming services to the LGBTQ2S+ community. We also welcome members of the LGBTQ2S+ community who want to learn more about these topics and connect with their community.
